103. Al-'Asr

The Declining Day

وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ١

By time,

إِنَّٱلۡإِنسَٰنَلَفِيخُسۡرٍ٢

Indeed, mankind is in loss,

إِلَّاٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُواْوَعَمِلُواْٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِوَتَوَاصَوۡاْبِٱلۡحَقِّوَتَوَاصَوۡاْبِٱلصَّبۡرِ٣

Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
